Muchos niños tienen problemas visuales, usan gafas y eso les lleva a no hacer deporte o a perder el interés. El miedo a recibir un balonazo, a romper las gafas o, simplemente, a ser distintos a los demás hace que en muchos casos dejen de practicarlo o se limiten a lo estrictamente obligado en el colegio. Esto, con lentes de contacto, se puede arreglar.

Hoy en día existen lentes de contacto diseñadas de tal forma que son perfecta para usarlas durante la práctica deportiva. Son de uso diario (se usan un día y se tiran), fáciles de utilizar y que no precisan de ningún tipo de cuidado especial. Con ellas, los niños pueden hacer deporte exactamente igual que sus compañeros.

Facilitar la práctica deportiva
Las lentes de contacto, a la hora de hacer deporte, pueden ser de gran ayuda. Por una parte, protegen mejor el ojo del que las lleva y en raras ocasiones se salen o se pierden. Por otra, facilitan la actividad deportiva mejorando la visión central y la periférica, protegen al ojo de la entrada de partículas, hacen de escudo frente a choques y no se nota que se llevan puestas. Ahora, cuando comienza el curso y los niños eligen sus actividades extra escolares, pueden escoger las que realmente prefieren sin ningún miedo ni dificultad por causa de la visión gracias a las lentes de contacto.

Algunos padres de niños que ya están utilizando estas lentes de contacto comentan cómo han ayudado a sus hijos: "tiene mejor puntería en baloncesto", "practica natación más cómodamente", "puede entrenar en el equipo de voley, y antes no le dejaban hacerlo con gafas", o "se ha apuntado a ballet y gimnasia rítmica desde que las lleva".
