Durante los primeros años de vida las capacidades visuales no están plenamente desarrolladas y no es posible enfocar objetos de forma correcta. Además, el CNOO recomienda realizar un uso moderado de estos dispositivos, una correcta iluminación en las habitaciones, descansar 20 segundos cada 20 minutos mirando a seis metros o relajar la vista observando objetos lejanos, entre otras medidas.
